Vietnam’s ancient artifacts to be on display overseas

As many as 114 ancient Vietnamese artifacts will be showcased at an exhibition, in the US from September 2009 to June 2010, according to the Cultural Heritage Department.

The objects were selected from ten major museums in the country including sculptural statues from Cham people and earthen pots from the Sa Huynh Culture. All display a high level of artistry and sophistication.

The department said that through the exhibition, Vietnam wants to introduce the essence of its culture to international friends. The event is expected to take place at the Arts Museum of Houston and the Asian Art Museum.
