HCMC provides free tours to visit the City People’s Council - People’s Committee headquarters in 2024

(TITC) - In 2024, visitors to Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to visit the national architectural and artistic monument of the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City with 12 phases, each takes place in 2 days of the last Saturday and Sunday every month.

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC People's Committee) has just issued a plan to organise programme to visit national architectural and artistic monument of the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the plan aims to enhance the promotion of the City's history of formation and development, contributing to building and developing the Ho Chi Minh City brand, and building the image of the Ho Chi Minh City government as friendly and open.

The plan also aims to research the direction of developing unique and characteristic tourism products associated with historical culture, contributing to attracting domestic and international tourists to the City, stimulate tourism and introduce the image of Ho Chi Minh City as an "Attractive - Safe - Lively" destination.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requires the programme to promote the results achieved in the 2023 programme and increase new experiences for tourists; ensuring the attractiveness and introduction of cultural, historical values and unique architectural features of the National Artistic Architectural Monument of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters, in association with other sightseeing programmes in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the programme must ensure security, safety and protect the integrity of the monument.

The programme to visit the National Architectural Artistic Monument of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters in 2024 is expected to be organised into 12 phases, each consisting of the last 2 days of Saturday and Sunday of each month. Specifically, Phase 1: 24 and 25 February 2024; Phase 2: 30 and 31 March 2024; Phase 3: 27 and 28 April 2024; Phase 4:  25 and 26 May 2024; Phase 5: 29 and 30 June 2024; Phase 6: 27 and 28 July 2024; Phase 7: 24 and 25 August 2024; Phase 8: 31 August and 1 September 2024 (on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); Phase 9: 28 and 29 September 2024; Phase 10: 26 and 27 October 2024; Phase 11: 23 and 24 November 2024; Phase 12: 28 and 29 December 2024.

Visitors will be able to visit a part of the National Architectural Artistic Monument of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters. Specifically, on the ground floor, visitors will visit the main lobby, international reception room No. 1, and main staircase. On the first floor, visitors will visit the main lobby, international reception rooms No. 2 and No. 3, balcony, and meeting room No. 5.

The programme to visit Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee Headquarters is organised free of charge.

The programme plan also clearly states that paid services in the tour programme (such as selling souvenirs, taking souvenir photos using technology, selling drinks...) are additional services chosen by visitors, will be carried out according to the instructions of competent authorities and must be publicly announced on the mass media before implementation.
