International reporters being impressed with the programme "Experiencing Quang Nam"

Tourism products associated with nature and indigenous culture of ethnic minorities among the majestic Truong Son Mountains in Quang Nam Province have left a good impression on international reporters, when participating in the programme "Experiencing Quang Nam".
In 3 days from 17th to 19th June, nearly 40 reporters from 15 foreign press agencies having a permanent office in Vietnam and a number of international visitors participate in the programme "Experiencing Quang Nam". International visitors had a chance to experience products from green tourism, rural tourism, explore OCOP products and learn about the unique cultural values of the ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas of Quang Nam Province.

According to VOV, Reporter Cheng Chi Lun from The Central News Agency (CNA) (Taiwan, China) said, the mountainous areas of Quang Nam Province with majestic nature and rich culture are ideal conditions for tourism development: “Local people here shared with us that many international visitors coming to Tay Giang but most of them got here by motorbike, maybe it was the people who lived here, not the large groups from abroad. We think once the authority develops an efficient policy to develop tourism, many tourists will be attracted and people will have more chances to increase their income”.
 
It’s been a while since the Ancient Village of Co Tu, Tay Giang District has lived in a festive atmosphere. The bustling sound of gongs and drums with the tang tung da da dance of Co Tu people are the highlight to attract visitors and international reporters. Village patriarch A Lang Son, A Vuong Commune, Tay Giang District felt happy and proud when the unique cultural values of the Co Tu minority group were introduced to international friends.
 
“We feel over the moon to welcome friends from all over the world to the Tay Giang and Co Tu community and show their interests in the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups. The policy of the Government is to develop green tourism, therefore, Tay Giang District has put every effort into protecting forests. Recently, Tay Giang is all green forest and so is the local culture, we can't give it up easily", said village patriarch A Lang Son.

After the COVID-19 has been under control, Tay Giang District, Quang Nam Province has promptly renewed products, upgraded infrastructure, trained human resources, and is well prepared to seize all opportunities to reopen tourism. Mr. Nguyen Van Luom, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tay Giang District, Quang Nam Province said, the local has put efforts to become a green tourism destination, attracting visitors domestically and internationally to the West of Quang Nam. The local has fully equipped the best conditions to welcome visitors and introduce the images of people and tradition of the land.
 
This year, Quang Nam Province is the host of many national-scale diplomatic activities such as the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam, and preparation for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam - Japan in 2023. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Nam Province stated that this is the opportunity to introduce the image, people and culture of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas to the world.
 
“The West area of Quang Nam has both potential to develop community based tourism and great pharmaceutical development. We are aiming to not only develop community based tourism but also introduce investors from China, Japan, India, Korea, etc. to a great pharmaceutical market, where we have a lot of experience in processing and manufacturing pharmaceutical materials. These are potential partners to be able to cooperate in the future” - said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang.
