Khanh Hoa Province Department of Transport has just submitted a written request to the provincial People's Committee to consider and approve the policy of allowing the implementation of the Bai Tien pedestrian street - night market project on Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh Street (Vinh Hoa Ward, Nha Trang City) at the request of an enterprise.

Recently, Tay Nha Trang Investment and Consultation Co., Ltd. has sent a document to the authorities proposing to implement the project of Bai Tien pedestrian street - night market in Hon Mot mountain area, Vinh Hoa ward. The project covers a total area of 4,867m2, about 2,600m2 of which is for traffic, including the roadbed and sidewalk of Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh street; Operating time is planned to be from 6pm to 2am.

The leader of Tay Nha Trang Investment and Consultion Co., Ltd. said that Nha Trang needs more nightlife spots to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic has been controlled and the province has opened to welcome tourists, so the implementation of the Bai Tien pedestrian street - night market Project will add an interesting places for tourists.

Currently, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh road has a length of about 260m, a width of 10m, including a roadbed of 7m wide and two sidewalks 1.5m wide each. This route surrounds the foot of Hon Mot mountain, the two ends connect to Pham Van Dong street. According to the zoning planning project of 1/2000 scale in the east of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong street route approved by the provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2786 dated October 17, 2014, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh route is planned to be 10m wide. However, currently, most vehicles go straight on Pham Van Dong street without going through Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh street.

According to the provincial Department of Transport, the two sides of Nguyen Thi Ngoc Oanh street are mountain slopes and embankments, no street lights and houses. The investor proposes to implement the Bai Tien pedestrian street - night market Project from 6pm the previous day to 2am the next morning, which is reasonable. The project is expected to exploit the value of this route, create more revenue for the province, and partly keep security as well as landscape for this area. The project implementation is also in line with the Project on developing night economy in Vietnam issued by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1129 dated July 27, 2020.
