As part of the 5th phase of Covid-19 immunization plan in Quang Ninh province, 500 tourism workers was jabbed with the first Covid-19 vaccine shots at the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital on July 14.
As planned, 6,800 doses of Covid-19 vaccine will have been administered to the tourism workforce by the end of July 20.
These jab receivers include managers and employees working at travel agencies, accomodation establishments, tourist boats, etc. and those who interact directly with tourists in their daily routine are given priority to be administered the shots.
The vaccination process has been undertaken in line with all regulations issued by the Ministry of Health. All of these receivers have currenly been in good health situation.
The Quang Ninh Department of Tourism has closely worked with the provincial Tourism Association, the Department of Health and the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to establish a coordination team responsible for ensuring the progress and efficiency of the vaccination plan.
As planned, 6,800 doses of Covid-19 vaccine will have been administered to the tourism workforce by the end of July 20. The second jabs will be given after one month as prescribed.
An effective vaccine program is expected to be a significant boon for tourism, which has been badly affected by border closures, travel restrictions and social distancing measures related to Covid-19. This is also among Quang Ninh’s moves to maintaining safety for locals and tourists amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
